The switch on the key still opened the Central Lock and disarmed the alarm. But only once. The LED on the key kept blinking for about 20 times after pressing the button on the key. What I did was opening the key, took the battery out and CAREFULLY made the microswitch work as it was supposed to work. Hi all, I have swapped out the battery on my key remote fob and now the thing won't work. I get a red led light on the fob when I hit a button, but nothing happens. I have used the car with the new battery fitted fob and I thought that it would reprogram itself after a few minutes, but nothing Why cant you lot just be happy for me! my stilo was only a 1.6 and i wanted something a little more powerful, i haven't said the stilo is a crap car, i think i even cried a little when i saw it go I didn't give up on it, i fixed it, and it was running smoothly. that last polish b4 sale made me want to keep it! but it was not to be.
The "graphite pencil" fix is just a way to bodge a repair if you can see a break in one of the circuit/tracks. You basically use the pencil to re-create the connection by laying down a line of graphite between the breaks. It may work and it may not.. or last just 5 minutes. Probably only one for Apollo 13

Hi guys bought the missus another stilo the other day and it only come with one key (the non central locking type) does anyone know or have a guide for extracting the key code from the ecu as i begrudge giving the robbing b*stards £45 for the card. if someone can help i will happily sort them out kind regards yorobbo
the only way to produce a new working transponder is to read the eeprom file of the bodycomputer, use this file with a key cloning device like Zed Bull to precode a blank ID48 transponder and fit this new transponder in a new/second hand Fiat key.
